Valuing the authenticity and effectiveness of local medicine, in the outskirts of Sri Lanka, Dr. Lewis Waidyarathna continued the Family journey in Ayurvedic Medical Treatments. He used all natural recipes, only unique to the Waidyarathna Family that remain unblemished to date. In a highly commercialized day and age, Dr. Waidyarathna continued a non -commercialized journey where he put his heart and soul, making sure his patients received the best treatments. Even to date, the same values are being practiced by the Waidyarathna family, maintaining the authenticity of true Ayurvedic treatments while mainly specializing in orthopaedics.

Thereafter, Dr. Lewis Waidyarathne’s eldest son, Dr. Thobias Waidyarathna took over from his Father and specialized in Orthopaedic Ayurvedic treatment. With the intention of going further from the outskirts of Sri Lanka and a vision of wanting the rest of the world to benefit from the irreplaceable treatment, Dr. Thobias established his first dispensary for the public in the city of Colombo. Ever since, he has been loved by the public and famously known as “Pallewela Wedhamahathaya”, who went the extra mile in changing the Ayurvedic Treatment system that was only limited to and accessible in the outskirts of Sri Lanka. His initiative has given easy access and opportunity for generations from all over the country to benefit from the Family’s inherited unblemished treatments. 

Together with his Father Dr. Thobias, Dr, Ranjith continued to make further improvements to the authentic “Pallewala” orthopaedic treatments while shielding its uniqueness. Dr. Ranjith expanded their service by opening two new branches in Colombo itself, giving access and welcoming international patients visiting the country to benefit from the family’s unique treatment.

The ultimate legacy has been passed on to the 21^st century and continued locally and internationally by Dr. Ranjith’s Son Dr. Bhagya Waidyarathna and Daughter Dr. Dushani Waidyarathna. They are highly instrumental individuals duly registered with the Ayurvedic Medical Council in Sri Lanka, currently practicing and offering treatment in both Sri Lanka and Australia.
